Postpartum

Two questions..

I'm three weeks and four days postpartum and was wondering how long mommies who have been pregnant before waited until they started working out. I had a very easy pregnancy and delivery and I personally feel great. I stopped bleeding over a week ago.

Also (this is probably a silly question) is the 6 week postpartum check up for me or for baby or for both of us?

Thanks so much!

It's just for you, I think they recommend that you wait the 6w before beginning to exercise, but some walking isn't gonna hurt anything lol

The check is for both of you. Gentle exercises are ok until your 6 week check but don't work out properly until you get the all clear as although you feel fine your body isn't healed. Just lifting something heavy can permanently damage your back. You body and muscles are still moving and shrinking back into shape. Congrats :) x

Thanks ladies! I ordered t25 and was excited to use it but I guess I'll have to wait a little longer

The 6 week is just for you. I'd say if you feel up to it it's fine to start working out, just don't over exert yourself. They say 6 weeks because they like to be extra cautious. With my first pregnancy I was having sex and exersizing by 3 weeks afterwards.

Yeah we've already resumed sex too since I felt fine. I was really nervous about it but it was actually painless and this made me think that maybe my body was ready for exercise as well.
