Pregnancy Problem?

Hey everyone, I recently found out that I was pregnant and I am starting to get excited about it. I went in to the OBGYN today and I am 6 weeks according to the sac, and there is a faint heartbeat. A lot of sites and people say that the baby should have a strong heartbeat. but apparently mine doesn't.... should this be cause for concern? I am freaking out and am really worried, because I don't want to get too happy and something bad happens. so do you think a faint heartbeat at 6 weeks is okay? I go back in 2 weeks to see if it has gotten better

It can be difficult to get an accurate reading when the baby is so little. It moves and they have to start all over. I went for a 7week scan and my baby had a faint heartbeat, I'm now 31+5 and she has a completely normal heartbeat and is healthy. I wouldn't stress over it if I were you.

I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks and 2 days. The heartbeat was actually quite present. But keep in mind the baby's heart doesn't form all 4 chambers of the heart until around the 9th week and that has a lot to do with the strength of the heartbeat. That means more blood to pump and being able to have a ventricular and articular normal counterbalance than before. The baby will be fine just focus on your diet and fluids.

I had a bad experience with this but stay positive. No need to worry your babys heart just started beating and is still getting use to it.

Same thing happened to me, they said the heartbeat was too slow and that a miscarriage was likely. They did another ultrasound about 2 weeks later and it was just fine. I'm almost 37 weeks now and he's doing great so just hang tight!
