I'm 29wks and 6 days, working part time at a grocery store as a stocking clerk. When do you think is a good time 2 go on maternity leave? I'm due Feb 5th.

Usually doctors take you off at 36/37 weeks

Most places will only hold your job for 6-8 weeks so if you want more time with your baby you should what until you can't work anymore. I work until I go into labor to have those precious first few weeks at home.

My job lets you take 4 Weeks before and 6 Weeks after bb. I have an office job so im going 2 try to work till the end. Guess it just really depends on your job and how you feel.

Thanks! I'm having a little trouble at work. I get tired really quickly, I can't bend over or get real low like I use to, and I get this pain in my lower back that goes from the top of my right butt cheek to my upper to mid thigh. I want to work till the due date but I dnt think I can continue to do the things I'm doing now without harming my baby or risking premature labor.
