Pregnancy symptoms, missed period, NEGATIVE TEST

I was on the depo provera birth control shot for 3 years, and I have now been off of it for 8 months. Once I was late for the shot and had brownish bleeding for weeks straight and my doctor told me sense I missed the shot it was my uterus cleaning its self out (TMI sorry), thats the ONLY bleeding I experienced the whole 3 years I was on the depo. On January 10th I finally started my period back after 7 months of being depo free! My boyfriend and I were so excited, and we have been TTC sense then. The period was normal, it lasted 5 days and wasn't a brownish color like it was when I missed the shot. Before the Depo I had regular periods, it always fell on the same days every month and lasted from 5-7 days. Anyways I was expecting my next period on the 7th of this month, its now the 10th and it still has not came. I have been having pregnancy symptoms; bad lower back pain, nausea (no vomit yet, and only in the mornings), tender breasts, I have been urinating more then I usually do, I am sooo sleepy all the time, no matter how much sleep I get I want more, my boyfriend is always talking about how "moody" i've been lately, and I am so bloated I've had people ask me If I was pregnant!! I took a pregnancy test yesterday (it would be 2 days after my "missed period")  and it was was negative, I was saving the second test to take in a week or so if my period does not come soon. What could be causing all these symptoms? I already went threw symptoms similar to this after my first month of being off the depo (sore breasts, and I was very emotional but that was all), my doctor said those symptoms where normal. Could the depo still be causing symptoms like this after 8 months of being off of it, or have anything to do with my negative result? Could I be pregnant? PLEASE HELP!

Yesterday right before work me and my boyfriend had sex, when I got to work I thought I had started my period, but it has been like a brownish color, and only a tiny bit, like I wore a pad all night last night and it looked as if there was only a few drops of blood on it this morning. Which is unusual because I usually have a pretty heavy flow. My app in is 30 mins im so nervous! Thanks for the advice guys!

Thats what my doctor said the symptoms I had a month after I was off the shot were from, and she said those were completely normal. You may be right, I was wondering If my cycles would be irregular now due to the depo. I am so worked up about it because all these symptoms, I have a doctor app scheduled for tomorrow I will mention all this to her then. Thank you!

I was also on depo for a year and a half, then switched to implanon, never had bleeding and took a little while for my period to go back to normal but I convinced a lot faster then I thought I would!

It could just be to early to tell, I took 3 (within a week and a half span) and all came out negative, had the symptoms and everything lol I took another a week later and it came out positive. & now I'm due in a week(:

I'd wait a few days to take another one,  good luck(:

hmm, normally id say it's your body getting use to being off the shot, but you've been off it for some time.
could be that it's taken this long to get your cycles back to 'normal' and ovulating again. you could have a longer cycle and you're ovulating right now instead? which can cause those symptoms as well.
