Premature babys

Any other mommas in risk of having a premature baby or have had a premature baby already ?
I stared having contractions @ 25 weeks due to kidney infection and being dehydrated . I stayed over night at the hospital and got medicine to stop contractions . I had been told im at risk of premature labor due to my cervix being short . I was and still am scared that my little boy can come anytine .. I'm currently 35weeks+1day . My question is , if my little boy decides to be born anytime now what are the chances he'll be in the NICU and if so about how long will he be in there for ?

My mom had my brother early, he was suppose to be born in August and came july 1, I'm pretty sure he was in nicu for a about a month or so. I think how long they are in nicu is determined by how early they come. But my brother now a healthy 26 year old.

Most of the time it all depends on how premature your baby is. If she very early they might make her stay until your due date. Then maybe they'll make her stay until she is stable enough to go home..like feeding on her own,breathing,&able to fit into her carseat.

My cousin had all five of her kids at 36wks an they didn't have to stay in the nicu. They went hone with her. Idk if they kept them an extra day or not but I know they for sure went home when she did witch was either 24 or 48 hrs later I don't remember if she stayed 1 or 2 days :)) I guess it just depends on how much your baby is developed, every baby is different an grow at their own rate :)

My son is a day old and he was born at 36+3. He doesn't have to be in NICU. He had respiratory issues but so far he has come out Of it pretty well. I wasn't even at risk for preterm but he was ready
