cramps 37 weeks and 3 days ftm

I had my membranes stripped on Monday. And I lost my mucous plug yesterday. I've been losing alot more mucous. Ive been cramping ever since I had it done which is normal, but the cramps are alot worse today. How will I know when to go to the hospital? Ftm here. I dont think these are contractions but ive never been pregnant before so im not sure. Any advice please!

Thanks! I'm 37 weeks 3 days. The cramping is also in my back but they come and go. Not close enough to time them now. They've eased up alot since earlier.

If the contractions get worse and are five min apart for a full hour, or of course if your water breaks. And my E.R told me that if they are real labor contractions they will start in your back but everyone is different or had a difference experience. How far along are you?
