Is it possible for someone to become pregnant have a miscarriage but not detect either the pregnancy or the miscarriage as the bleeding resembled menstrual periods and then can this happen again? if this can happen what are the consequences of not having a DNC?
Thank you

Thank you...actually i tested positive for being pregnant about 3 weeks ago and Monday saw a brown discharge which has gradually turned to red- menstrual like blood...it just occurred to me that maybe this happened b4 since i was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and usually miss my periods and this is the first that i have seen a possible miscarriage so i wasn't looking out for it b4. This morning while urinating a great big junk of tissue passed out-it was a bit scary!
I have an U/S today so i will keep posted on what occurs. I'm ok though I really wanted this baby but i think that our bodies know what's best! Thank you so much for replying it really helps to have others comment...

It is very possible to get pregnant and have a miscarriage and not know.  If you were bleeding like you would with your period being that early into a pregnancy you probably passed everything and have no reason for a D&C.  The main reason for that procedure is for people who do not pass all the tissue.  If you feel you have not passed everything go to an OBGYN they will more than likely do an US and look for any tissue and go from there.
Hope this helps!!!
