Rib pain

I have recently started to wake up with rib pain the middle of the night. It will be on whatever side I lay on. If I'm on my left side I have pain along my left rib cage toward the center, if I'm on my right same thing but right side. It wakes me up to I flip to the other side and it goes away eventually, then I get the pain on the other side and have to flip back over. I am 28w4d what could be causing this and is there anything I can do to prevent/relieve the pain besides what I am already doing?

I had it with all of my pregnancies towards the end and have had the pain for a couple of weeks now. If its the same then its baby pushing and kicking against your ribs. If you massage and slightly press the area during the day it encourages the baby to move down. Sleeping with something soft but firm by the area can also stop the baby from moving that far up. A warm shower helps to relieve it a little.

Could it be the baby pushing up against it maybe?
