I got a good crib for 40 on Craig's list. It's a converter one that can also be a toddler bed and it's been perfect. My daughter used it as a crib and now she's using it as a toddler bed. We're about to buy her a new bed and convert this one back to a crib for the baby. Stroller.. I also got for about 40 at Burlington coat factory. And baby clothes I get a lot from family and friends but also I shop through Craig's list and second hand stores. I also really like the just between friends sale that comes to town about twice a year.

I found all of our daughter's furniture on craigslist and repainted everything. Her crib with matress was $50 dresser was $30 chest of drawers was $75 and my.gliding rocker was $30 also. Try garage sales or thift stores. Most people sell stuff thats still brand new and you could get some good deals. The only things we bought brand new were her carseat and stroller system, pack n play and swing. Good luck!

I got a really nice crib at a garage sale for 50$ lol. I bought it when I was only 15 weeks pregnant. That's the key, start really early!

I get baby clothes at flea markets for cheap!! There used but it dont seem like it you just wash it and its good to use. I bought my baby alot of clothes for like 50 cents a piece. And i saw plenty more things for real cheap like cribs, bouncers and many more. Believe me they grow out of things so fast you need it for just a few months then your back to resaling it. So if your in a budget like i always am get them used

Look on Craigslist for good deals. We paid $80 for our crib its a crib, toddler bed  a day bed and a full size all in one. That was 2 years ago. We used it for our first now we will be using it for our second :) as for clothes, consignment shops are my fave!  We paid $60 for the stroller and $400 for the car seat(graco 4ever seat). There are a lot of ways to save money.

We got our crib from Wal-Mart and they had a special where you got the mattress for free. I believe we spent around 150.00 for it and it's adorable! You can get strollers for a decent price on Amazon. I got my sister a travel system which is the stroller and car seat for about 120.00. You can find inexpensive clothes at thrift stores and Wal-Mart and target. Check online in their clearance ssection.

Hi there.  Being on a budget doesn't mean you won't have nice things for baby.  Truth is, much baby stuff gets very little use.  You can find second hand things that are really nice.  There is a chain called "Once Upon a Child" which sells second hand things very inexpensively.  You can check out Craig's list or garage sales as well.  I also put out the word to family and friends that if they had anything I could use, to send it my way. I got clothes and sleepers this way, our crib (two actually as my boys are close in age and my first one wasn't out of his crib before my second one was born), second stroller, play pen, bassinet, bouncy chair, swing . . .   no joke. The stuff was like new from family and friends.  And  when you are done, you clean it up and offer to give it back to them or pass it on to someone else or keep it for your next baby.

Babyshowers are tricky.  You do often get a lot of little items.  I was lucky that my sister in laws went in together and spend the 300 dollars my infant carrier and stroller cost and a couple of other equipment items.  But you can never totally count on that.  Register for what you need and see what happens.

The other thing once upon a child does is sell unused, new things at discounted prices.  I got my changing table that way.

good luck

Yes. Finding good deals. 4 months before I got my crib I saw it and it was 400 then my mom surprised me with the same crib for only 100 because it was the display crib.

Well Bern my baby shower and others who have baby clothes I only bought one piece of clothing for my Matthew. You may want to try thrifting for the bigger items.

Me and my hubby are in a 1 bedroom apt So we decided to get a bassinet and deluxe play pen. The deluxe play pen has a small bed that turns into a play pen when he gets older it's cheaper than the crib.

We bought a shoe holder that hangs on the door to store pampers, clothes, wipes and such. We are also going to use the night stand dresser as a changing table for the room we will only purchase the changing pad and place this on top if the dresser.

There is an actual forum about baby products that may be more helpful, also pintrest has ideas, and thrifting /couponing
