Scared and really hoping for positive hpt

Hi, I'm really hoping someone can help and be honest. I have been try for my second baby, this being my second month of trying. My period was due on the 5 of this month, but me being me I took a hpt on the 2nd hoping to find out if I'm pregnant. Sadly the test came back negitive which really upset me. But now my period is 2 days late, is there a good chance I'm pregnant? And when would be the best date to retest? I soooo scared about getting another negitive result. I'm so Hoping I took the test to soon :-(

Taking a test early you have a very high chance of having a false negative because the hormone levels in your system are not strong enough to come up that soon in a lot of cases.  Also, you could have ovulated a little later then you though which could cause a false negative too.  I would say you are 2 days past due you should test again, maybe buy a two pack and if you get a negative today try in 3 days if you still don't get your period.  I finally got a positive before 6 days after I was due.  
You could also call the doc and see if they could give you a blood test.  Hope you get your positive fingers crossed for you =)

I'd retest if I were you.  We weren't TTC when we conceived the first time, so I can't really tell you when I would have shown up positive since I didn't test until I was 2 weeks late for AF (by then I was wayyyy positive, haha!)  But this last time, I waited until AF was 2 days late before I tested and got a clear positive (and I didn't even use first morning urine, either).  I didn't have any symptoms during the 2WW....but started to feel some nausea right around the time that AF would have come.

I wasnt TTC but I just felt like I was preggo! I tested a day before AF was due and it was positive. If I were you, I would wait a couple more days and then test again. That way, you are sure to have hormones if you are preggo.

I tested from 9 DPO...because I just knew/felt it...up to 12 DPO which is when I would usually start my period and they were all negative. I took another test 2 days after my period was due and it was positive. If you know you had sex right before ovulation than I suggest buying a 2 pack and testing again tomorrow and then 2 days later if needed.

Ok so I took another hpt this morning which again was negitive, no slight extra pink line at all. I really wanted to be pregnant again and where is my period? I want to look forward to trying ttc again for next month but how can I if my period ain't here. I'm still getting peroid like cramps and my temp is very high, is there anything I can do

Make an appointment with your doctor and request blood work. Some women don't show up on urine tests and if it still comes up negative you can talk to them about what might be wrong or I'd there's anything you can do.

Thanks to all that posted to help me, after taking the 2 neg hpt I decided to stop stressing out and just wait, low and behold I got up this moring to my period. I must of been stressing out to much, now I'm looking forward to TTC again xxx
