Second Trimester with Subchorionic Hematoma. So scared and don't know anything about this :'(

Has anyone heard of Subchorionic Hematoma?  I was told a few weeks ago by one of my doctors that I had placenta previa, so I took all of the precautions for that.  (This was in the beginning of January).  I started bleeding lightly/moderately for one day(I was 13 weeks along approx.).  I was spotting on and off for a few days after that.  Spotting stopped for a week.  Spotting resumed for 3+ weeks.  It was not heavy.  It went away though.  I've been spot free for 2 weeks approx.  I just had an appointment yesterday (routine ob) and my doctor told me that it wasn't placenta previa, but that it was subchorionic hematoma.  I am currently 18 weeks and 4 days along, and my doctor told me that she often sees this and that when the women make it as far as i did, the pregnancy usually carries to term.  I have a radiology appointment today to see the size of the blood clot and the sex for sure.  I can't help but be afraid of this.  Has anyone had this?  Please respond, I'm so worried.  I don't know the outcomes or the percentages.  I feel my baby moving pretty regularly, it's super active if that means anything.  I just want to have a healthy pregnancy.  Please help me.....

Thank you :)  Mine resolved, thank God.  I don't have the Previa anymore, either.  It's so nice to be off of Pelvic rest and the Light Limited Duty Status.  I still worry that it's going to come back or something is going to happen, but that's just paranoia, I guess.  Thank you, everyone.  I'm so glad all of your experiences with the hematoma got better.

Had one during my last pregnancy where I bleed worse then a period for weeks. Doctor said that they are actually quite common and usually resolve on their own by week 20. I was never put on bedrest and now have a healthy 2 year old to show for it. Try not to stress, by this point everything should be fine.

I think the best thing you can do is be calm and take what your doctor said as something positive. It sounds like your doc is quite positive you will carry to full term so don't stress too much. Have you been put on bed rest or anything like that? I'm not sure about your condition but I hope all turns out well for you and your baby.
