I am so sorry for the pains! They are the worst!! I was diagnosed with gall stones with my son. The only thing you can do is watch your diet, unfortuantly you have to stay away from most fatty foods.
I know this sounds really stupid but it really did help me. When you are having a gall bladder attack try running up and down the stairs. it will help the stone dislodge from the gall bladder duct. If that is too strenous for you try one of those mini exercise trampolines, I would use that when i got too big to run up and down stairs, It was the only thing that worked
Just remembering the pain right now hurts. I'm so sorry. :(
Good luck and i hope you get relief soon
Yes there is. Watch what you eat. Figure out what it is that set's you off (mostly any kind of food with grease) I had gallbladder pain for 3 months... and didn't know it. I would wake up in pain and not be able to sleep. It was so bad, all I could do is pace. After 4 visits to the emergency room, and in the last visit I was in so much pain that they couldnt control my pain with medication, they found stones and gave me emergency gallbladder removal.
All you can really do is try to not eat greasy foods, it is what usually causes the pain. When I was in pain I took a hot bath to try to relax, but being pregnant... you can't take a hot bath without changing your body temp which is not safe for the baby.
If you expierence lack of sleep like 8 hours straight, and pain that will not go away, go right to the emergency room. In severe cases they will give you surgery while pregnant, and I have heard it has been done several times without worry to baby.
Keep a small pad around you and note when your attack happens... and how long it lasts and what relieves it. If left alone it can get worse as time goes... you may notice increase in pain, and increase in the time that the attack lasts... immediately let your doc know.
I actually found out i had gallbladder stones right before i found out i was pregnant, actually i was going in for surgery and the day before they called me and said nope you cant have surgery you are preganant. Yeah sorry to say that there isnt really anything you can do.
Kazwel is correct avoid fatty foods and for me i have to avoid spicy food as well. If i want to have something fatty i try to have it ealier in the day. Per my doctor as well try to avoid going to bed right after a meal, specially at night. If you want to lay down prop your self up some. Before i was pregnant the only thing that would take the pain away was Percocet, well now thats not possible. I take Tylenoll, but it doesn work as good. I usually walk around drink some water and then i eventually end up falling a sleep, since i usually get attacks at night. Luckily i havent had one in alittle over 2 months.
Good luck and hope this helps.
Oh yeah and accoring to my Dr. if you can deal with this pain you can deal with labor pain. Apparently gallbladder attacks are more painful.
I heard that too...when being wheeled up for surgery that its more painful... Hmm maybe I can handle this baby coming out in 4 weeks LOL.
Also I found this site on how to deal with gallbladder pain.;..
Thanks you guys, although what im noticing is that everything i eat, i throw up. Im really keeping my baby in prayers to give it strength since im not eating.
My gallbladder attacks didnt start till after I had my baby. I have to stay away from fatty or greasy foods. A lot of vegetables and whole grains are what keeps me from having an attack. The pain is so unbareable I dont even risk eating anything good anymore.
