I would say she isn't feeling the baby but maybe her stomach grubbling.
I didn't feel my baby move until I was 24 weeks.

Maybe she miscalculated the dates and she is actually further than that.

8 weeks (2 months) is too early to feel anything, the baby is only a couple centimeters long and is still an embryo. Typically first time moms feel the baby's first movements ("quickening") between 18-24 weeks; veteran moms may feel quickening as early as 15 weeks. I first felt the baby moving at 20 weeks. Best wishes to you both! :)

she is NOT going to feel a 2 month sized embryo moving.  Perhaps closer to 12 weeks she MIGHT..BIG MIGHT could feel some very faint flutters...but it's usually only women who have had previous pregnancies and know what it feels like.

Usually you don't feel movement until around 4-6 months.
