I'm so sorry to hear that and pray your hubby is not a carrier. Honestly tho I refused all those test when me and my hubby found out we were expecting we knew we would love our baby no matter what! We chose to have a baby and would take whatever God throws at us. I dunno what happens when you find out that I'm sure you have to make a hard decision and the right one for you and your husband. Your 24 weeks and already I'm sure in love with your baby do what's right for you two but know that God hasn't given you anything you can't handle.

i think you need to research this and i think it may help you feel a little better that there has been progress made with treatments available... i dont know a whole lot about sickle cell but i am a believer that the more you research the unknown the better prepared you will be if your child does have it...and you will have a better idea what questions to ask the Dr... im praying for you that your baby wont have sickle cell disease <3

here is a link that i found...i hope it helps
