My moms hearing was today where she went against her boyfriend who split her head open and she needed 3 staples in her head to close the wound .. yea he got anger management classes and that is it!!! This isnt the first time he has done this to my mother I am so digusted with this legal system I guess they wont be happy until my mom is dead ....

Unfortunately I know from experience that anger management DOES NOT usually work. In fact in my case and others I've heard of it just pisses the man off even more.  I'd really start keeping an eye out now.

As much as it sucks, be happy that he at least got that. I'm not saying that to be rude - but I was stuck with a guy for 3 years who beat on me. I almost died 6 times, I too had to have staples in my head (he bashed my head up against a marble window cill) and also had rings around my neck from where he strangled me. This guy had 10 previous DV charges, 9 JUST from me and they even walked in on him strangling me. They didn't even arrest him - they just asked him to leave. Mine was sort of a different situation though - he was 27, I was 15 and he had legal custody of me. And yes, we were in a relationship (biggest mistake of my life) and believe me, the day I turned 18, my butt was out of there!

I wish our judicial system was more reliable than what it is. I lived in Dallas Tx and all they gave my ex was agner managment and 1 yr probation including a restraining order. That didn't stop him....almost all you can do anymore is move out of state......I hope it gets better.

i lived in pa for 26 years and i went through a few legal issues with PFA's and such....espcecially when my sons fathers threatened mine and my sons life and was picked up wearing only socks in a snowstorm with a gun in his pocket

also the key words in pa are "im scared of him" it always worked for me....
