Labor!

Just want to hear different stories about before you moms went into labor. Did any of you know a week before? Or a day? Or not until it happened? Also did any of you get that burst of energy I hear you get before baby comes? Im 38 weeks and energy would be nice. Also this is my first so I was just looking for signs to pay attention to! Thanks ladies :)

I havent had mine yet but everyone is telling me any day now. On Friday night I had a massive burst of energy that didnt stop til last night. Now Im seriously irritable... like in constant Mr. Hyde or Hulk mode. Im having a "healthy mix" of braxton hicks and contractions - hell I can barely tell the difference any more really. Baby keeps moving though.

When I hit 36 weeks I got my burst of energy until the day I delivered. At my 38 week appt my dr checked me and I was 4 cm dialated but I didn't go into labor until 39+5. The day before I delivered hurricane irene dumped rain and wind and whatnot to us lol they had a curfew out so you weren't allowed to drive on the road after 7pm until 9am the next morning so we were hoping I wouldn't go into labor that night...I took castor oil that morning with my orange juice and sat on my yoga ball all day and worked on scrapbooking. My hubby and I had sex that night and went to bed by 10pm...I felt fine that whole day and at 1:30am I started with really bad pressure and took 2 baths and tried to go to the bathroom with no luck. It kept getting worse and at 8 I woke my hubby and said we need to go (even though we weren't allowed to drive on the road lol). I had my son by 3:12pm. My water broke at the hospital but I had no idea until it actually happened that I was in labor...sorry for the long post :)

I went grocery shopping one night and had lots of back pain at the store. It was so bad that I let my husband finish and layed down in the car. I didn't think anything of it. Went to sleep that night and woke up at 6 in the a.m. w contractions consistently 5 min apart. Called my husband at work, he came home. He told me to wait it out at home for a while (he had 3 kids already) checked in around 10 a.m. I was 5 cm and had a 9lb 5oz baby w no epidural around 3

I started nesting about a week before I went into labor with #1. Other than that I had no signs. With #2 no nesting or anything. I guess it depends every pregnancy is different
