My doctor told me not to use nicotine patches or quit cold turkey. If you're in Canada try the smokers helpline that comes in the pack,  they've really helped me.

I quit cold turkey smoking weed after so many years and I have my days where I'm like omg I just need a blunt because my head usually starts hurting after a while of not smoking and I get really frustrated and just want to be left alone getting high was my way of coping with my problems stress etc and basically I just like the feeling but I think of my baby and can't do it I just can not do it bc my baby is more important than my needs everyone around me tells me go ahead it's ok and I tell them they are such bad people for telling me to instead of helping me out they say go ahead it's ok smh but I think of my baby and don't do it

My doctor advised me.to quit cold turkey because the dangers of smoking to your baby are far worse than quitting cold turkey! I done it when i found out I was pregnant cause I just thought of being in a small space and not being able to breathe because of too much smoke! I am 24 weeks and havn't smoke since I found out at 5 weeks! It can be done just use your willpower everyone has it they just need reason to find it and you can do it :)

my best friends has been smoking since she was 13 now she smokes 2 packs a day when she was pregnant with her soon her doctor told her not to quit cold turkey cause your body is so used to the cigarets that you could send your baby into shock. So you got to remember everything that happens with you medically also happens to your baby so what they told her was to cut back as much as she could till she could stop completely  she went from 2 packs to 1 cigaret within 3 month then just stopped cause she kept her goal of a healthy baby in mind

Well when I found out I was pregnant I just thought of it this way.. have you ever seen a crowded room of people smoking and its just all smoke and people coughing, now just picture that was your baby.. its in a small room filling with smoke trying to get that breath of fresh air but cant until your done smoking that cigarette. When my habits I ended up buying a big bag of suckers so whenever I wanted to smoke a took a sucker out it helped a lot and my son being a big motivation for me, but when he came out seeing him happy and healthy made it soo worth it.

My doctor told me know because the nicotine gets absorbed into your blood stream! Cold turkey is the best and really only way while pregnant! Try sucking on sugar free candies and think of your beautiful baby inside of you<3 good luck!
