Finally someone posts this! Why risk your own baby! Yes it ***** being pregnant and yes we're all anxious but just let your little one come when he or she is ready. Risking it is just selfish!

Thank you for posting this information, yes everyone's opinions are different but the people who commented negatively didn't really need to comment at all.
The post is to inform us to be safe in what we do and understand the risks. Not get political and give people abuse... Ignore the negative comments and thanks again for posting :)

Even Claire the moderator says to talk to ur doctor first.... Sincerely some women do not need to believe everything they read online before talking to a professional

Hi again, folks,

There are differing schools of thought on this, even among the medical community, just as there are differing schools of thought about inducing labor.  Some doctors are ok with castor oil, and others are not.  Again, your best source of information is always your doctor.

You were kind hearted to share your story and try to help women.  Castor oil is gross, man.  I would rather have my baby show when ready than take that personally!  My doctor does not recommend it.  But that is how I feel about it and what my doctor said.  Others feel differently and do differently which is fine.  You shared your personal story and I think that is great.  thank you.

Thanks for posting. U know several people whom have taken it and baby was soon after deliver fine no complications noyhing went bad. I strictly believe everyone is different. I always srr everyone conparing themselves or sitaution to everyine else. No wonder people are always worried. Also what u read online is NOT always true or accurate. Its ultimately up to the parent. Everything u do and consume can possibly be dangerous. U NEVER know. This post would kind of be like someone else posting NOT to go outside cuz only god knows whatcould happen the second u walked out that door. Good luck to everyone.

Thank you for posting this. So many people post about Castor oil and it drives me nuts. Baby will come when he or she wants. Trying to naturally induce labor is normal for someone at the end of their pregnancy but I'd much rather have sex or eat pineapple (which had absolutely no effect what so ever) than drink castor oil. Yuck!

Lol thanks lovelylittle. And mommy2be keep at it! :P I accidentally crossed paths with that orgasm thing, and my fiancee said that his son and daughter only came after they had sex! So I figured it's fun, and worth a shot!! :D

Thank you! i had read something like this when i was pregnant with my daughter 2 years ago and i read the same thing about baby having a chance of pooping himself when still inside so i didn't use it at the end.. it gets tempting because we all want our little one's here but hopefully those who still believe in it have healthy babies like the others who recommend it<3 im to scared to try thank you again i felt like a scary cat an  my bf keeps pushing the idea to me because he wants our son out now..

Thank you !! i'm so tired of seeing people post about taking castor oil just because they see other moms post about how it worked for them, without doing their own research ! I always thought to myself just cause it worked for them doesn't mean it's gonna work for youu.. I did my research as soon as I heard of it, out of curiosity & after reading all the negatives I wouldn't even dare to take castor oil, even if my doctor recommended it  .. I wouldn't  want to risk me or my baby getting an infection  or even go into labor with diarrhea, like who would want that ?

Haha I like that one good post julianamarie. See have fun go have sex! Haha I just want everyone to seriously stop arguing everyone is different. We are all beautiful in our own way. So do what she said and go have an orgasm hahaha

If anyone is wondering, the only scientific and medically proven way to start contractions is an orgasm. So have sex, have fun, and that will get it going. The baby will come when s/he is ready to. Anyone on here posting rude comments because they had a good outcome are just lucky. Some woman smoke,  like me, during their pregnancy have have perfectly healthy children,  like me, but some are unlucky and have problems. She's just posting so that uneducated people on castor oil know that it can cause problems.just remember ladies, and orgasm is the only proven way to start labor. Not trying to be gross. So maybe try that before taking something? And ask your doctor before you do

thanks ladies increase the peace we are all carrieing something so beautiful inside are womb and it is are duties to protect these little angles I'm not responding back to anymore negative responses because I'm not judgeing anyone have taken it I clearly stated my friend took it and had a healthy beautiful baby I didn't judge her so why would I judge someone I don't even know but what does get me upset and make me start to judge is when people try to make something positive to something negative like grow up and keep scrolling because if anyone thinks I posted this to scare people there aviously not that bright

I appreciate your comments to keep the peace.  :>)  Really, it is the debate that becomes problematic.

Honestly I think this is stupid. Everyone has heir own opinion. She puts this up because it is her own opinion and he own thoughts on it. Its ok to get negative and positive responses. Momy2be1215 I wouldn't write anyone back that is "against or for" What you've posted and I would most definitely not fight back with people who obviously had a different effect happen. Yes there are studies that say different things. But one can have their own opinion if one says it's bad then that's what they think and if one says it's ok then that's what they think. Honestly making a big deal about whether she is right or wrong wasn't her intentions and she was just giving information she has found out. Take it or don't. But don't start arguments over something so small. Everyone has a different pregnancy and different effects. Whether people think eating a whole pineapple is not normally then that's not normal to them. I'm not a first time mom and I honestly don't think she put this up to scare any one so don't take it that way. Information is information no matter what if you disagree it's ok to give your opinion but no one should take it to heart. No body really knows anybody on here anyway so fighting with someone that lives thousands of miles away is pointless especially when it turns into a debate where obviously everyone has had different things happen. Come on mommies get along and be supportive of each other. Let someone give their opinion about your topic don't get offended or agitated. We all have different views on things don't argue that your view is right cause we're all human and really who knows if anything we do is right or wrong. Read it take it or not but don't be rude because you disagree with someone. She had her own opinion about something doesn't mean she's wrong in anyway at all. It doesn't mean anyone is wrong whether they did it or not everyone is different. Stay positive with each other :)

Verified sources ARE on the internet.  There are a lot of reputable sources that one can find to research something from the internet.

My doctor doesn't tell women to not use the internet for research.

Anyway, the poster was providing information to help and many agree with her.  Statements have been made to the contrary.  It's up to a woman to make her choices in her pregnancy but arguing about it really doesn't help.

luck to all

I think Claire, the moderator's statement is what we should all read on this thread.  It sums up clearly the intent of the thread and that the posters information is valid.  Luck to all!
