TMI: mucus plug

TMI: im 35 weeks and went to the bathroom Friday night and a mucous string came out and again today not a lot but just a little. I was wondering if it was pieces of my mucus plug or discharge.

it didn't have any color but it looked like snot.

Sounds like just discharge. The mucus plug is thick and usually has a little color to it and pink or blood tinged. It looks like a large blob of snot.

Probably your mucus plug. It can come out in pieces. Mine came out at 36 weeks and when I told my dr, she said although it is exciting to think you're close to labor, it doesn't really mean much.
