Thin/See thru uterus

My first pregnancy blessed me with 2 beautiful twin girls. I was on bedrest at 7 months in the hospital. I went into labor at 38 wks after my water broke. I had an cesarian after not dilating pass 6. My uterus was bleeding a lot during the cesarian and was see thru like looking through a window and the surgeon tells me she doesn't recommend that I have anymore children. Its been 2 and a half years since my traumatic ceasarian. Is it safe for me to try for baby #3? I just had an ultrasound on the uterus and the doctor said its normal but I have a small ovarian cyst. My OB GYN still does not recommend I have anymore children with no other advice or options. What can I do??? I'm super sad.....

I would get a second opinion. If a couple of diffrent Dr. are saying the same thing then you might want to take that into account. Ask them what can happen if you do get pregnant, what are the risks. The first post was saying that there 4th was a premi and if that type of risk is highly likely to happen then I would listen to the Dr. and enjoy the children I have. obviously you can do whatever you like, that is just my opinion. You can always find a serrogate or adopt if you have to have more babies. I feel like I want to set my kids up for success and if Dr. is telling me that isnt likely I would listen. Good Luck.

I agree with anniebrooke. Of course at Tue time of the cessarian the uterus was very stressed! I especially agree that it is even more likely to be capable of a single pregnancy (which is more likely than a second set of twins)

Just because the uterus is stretched by twins does not mean it is inadequate, and does not mean it is inadequate to the task of a singleton.  I would not let that gyn scare me.  Talk to another doctor and see what he or she says.

You may want to see another doctor to get a second opinion.

Hi, it is your body and only you and your hubby can judge what the risks are and how willing you are to go to have another baby. We were told by our ob/gyn not to have anymore after our first and we ar the happy parents of 4 kids now. admittedly we pushed for our last she was born prem and only weighed 1 kilo. Cheers hope this helps
