Threw up during 3 hour Glucose Test!

I failed my 1 hour test so I had to go today and do the 3 hour glucose test. Fasting- nothing to eat or drink from midnight the night before. So she took my fasting blood then told me to drink a whole bottle of that nasty sugary orange drink and right away I started to feel sick. Exactly one hour after drinking it I vomited it all back up. I didn't say anything because I was afraid they'd make me drink it again. I know very bad of me but I monitor what I eat anyways and don't eat much sweets unless I'm craving something.

what happens if you throw up? Will it mess up the results?

Guess I'll find out tomorrow hopefully.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I had to do the 3 hour also and I passed it.. I didn't throw up either.

You should have told them because you will not get an accurate result. Personally I live the orange stuff lol but that's just me

Your results won't be accurate. The purpose of the test is to see how well your body metabolizes the sugar. If you vomited, you lost a good portion of the drink, which means its less glucose to metabolize. I feel your pain though, I vomited right after they took my blood. If I had to do the three hour, I was sure id cry!

I don't think it should mess up the results because they draw your blood so if u were diabetic it would show in your blood. I. Hated it when I had to do that test. It was wayyyy too sweet just thinking about it makes me wanna throw up.
