Today is the day!!!
Went into a regular weekly appointment to find out they will be inducing me today due to high blood pressure. I'm so excited and scared at the same time, Idk what to expect from being induced. What are some experiences?
I'm 38 weeks and 3 days. I'm already dilated to 2.5 cm. They are giving me a pill first to ripen my cervix then I will start pitocin this afternoon.
The strip on my cervix was to get it to soften sorry not dilate. The pitocin was to get me to dilate more.
I was induced with my first and it was a breeze. That night they put a strip thing on my cervix to get me to dilate and then gave me something to sleep. In the morning they woke me up around 6 had a shower then they started the pitocin around 6:30 my baby was out by 11:35 only pushed for 35 mins and he was out. No epidural just pain meds in the i.v. but that wore off by 10. Only had 5 stitches with him. I kinda hope I'm induced again. Scared of going into labor on my own.
