I'm 22 weeks and had an abnormal sono, they found two spots in his tummy doctor didn't really go into detail, but said baby is having trouble swallowing. Has anyone else had something like that I've been reading and searching & I might have too much amniotic fluid & baby might have a birth defect. I've also been feeling sick my stomach & lower back hurts & at times I feel like I can't breath. Anyone else have or have had this problem? Please share I need some peace of mind...
Im 27 weeks n was told I have to much fluid im really freaking out because my dr said to make sure I should get tested for birth defects , when I was 24 weeks my sonographer said normally it should be 20cm but I was 22.5cm. Im just really scared. Do you think something could be wrong with my son ?
Hi! I just wanted to put my 2 cents in:~) I have 4 children and I had tons of water with all of them. A little more so with the last 2 and about twice as much with my last baby girl. They were worried about GD with my last becuase of the excesive amounts. I was also told my DD would be huge. At 37 weeks I was told she was about 9lbs 12 ozs (I think the ozs are right, I get preggo brian but im not preggo anymore, lol) Anyways, my water never broke on its own with any of my first 3 pregnancies but it did with #4. I was 37 point something weeks and was at home when I felt a pop in my vajaja:~) I stood up and it was like I turned on the faucet, lol! It sucked! Also my last baby was breech up untill my 37 week appoinment 2 days before I gave birth! She was breech at every u/s but thankfully turned on her own. With all that fluid your LO could still turn. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!!
Flip baby flip (again, lol)
Went to the doctor today! GOOD NEWS: my fluid levels haven't went up, he is active/healthy and has lots of hair. BAD NEWS: Last night I felt like he did a big flip & he did! Now he's breech. During the ultrasound he was Frank Breech then you could see him move his feet back down. The thing about having to much fluid allows them to be acrobats! LOL Dr. Gernt thinks he might flip back around if I wait! So I decided to wait about having him this week. I have a scheduled C-Section for next friday 3/12 @7:30 am. She said if he flips back before then she will go ahead and let me have him naturally! I hope and pray he flips before then because I do not want a C-Section! Thats just SCARY thinking about it.
Please keep us updated. I am dealing with a similiar issue and would so like to know how everything goes. My fluid measured 22 last week at 30w1d but my belly is measuring just right and baby is in the 50th percentile in size. So, I am just stressing out here. Good luck girl!
Thank you all so much for getting back with me!!! I go back Tuesday for another ultrasound, if my levels have raise much more she said she will induce me this week! I Hope so because I feel like I am smothering! AGAIN, THANK YOU ALL!
Hi there! I was also diagnosed with too much amniotic fluid. I worred myself sick after everything I read on the internet.
I wanted to let you know I went on to have a normal birth and have a very healthy baby boy! He was 7lbs11oz. Although when my water broke at home it was like Niagara falls!!! :) I am sure you will be fine!!
Dont worry its fine,i have been told the same.at 36 weeks my baby was 61lbs 13 oz.
but as the midwife said, scans cant know the weight of the baby,i also have alot of amniotic fluid, but they are not concerned.some women carry more than others,im sure your fine.
I have never been diagnosed with too much amniotic fluid but who knows they may want to break your water early just in case... I wish you the best xoxoxo
