Ultra sound due date vs. date of lmc

Hey ladies! Just got done @ my first two week apt. & due to my grandma being out of the country a week before my given due date I asked my doc what the ultra sound gave for one. Going by my last period I am due on 07/02 but according to the ultrasound I am due 06/23. So my question is how many of you delivered on or around ultrasound due date versus last period due date? My doc said I could go into labor as early as 06/20 but shouldn't carry any longer than 07/07. My first was 6 days over due by my last period due date.

Thanks ladies!  My doc only does 1 u/s @ 20 weeks unless something is wrong with the baby/pregnancy so that's the only u/s i have to go by.

Once you are out of the first trimester - ultrasound measurements aren't nearly as accurate.  If you had a first trimester ultrasound I would go with the date it gave you because it will more closely match up with your LMP.

Babies grow at different rates so yours could just very well be measuring big...thus the earlier u/s due date. The general rule of thumb is the earlier the ultrasound, the more accurate the due date.

Im not sure bcus my u-s have always pretty much matched up with my lmp. Although usually ur first u-s in the very beginning is usually the most accurate. Both my kids went passed their due dates so who knows. I think its just up to when babies ready!

Oh & I wondered if maybe the dates could be different because of this baby's weight. He weighed 1 lb 13 ozs at 21 wks. So bigger baby or just a lil farther along?! Lol My first was 8lbs 10ozs.
