Ultrasounds

My clinic *****. Not that I don't love seeing my baby but i feel like they do too many ultrasounds on me. I have been getting one done every time I have an appointment which is a total of 11 and I'm only 28 weeks and 4 days. plus another 3 when I was hospitalized. I keep telling my doctor I don't want to have an ultrasound every time I go in but she insist there is nothing wrong by having one every time i come in. Quote "Don't you want to see your baby?" What gets me more upset is that the tech never tells me the length and weight of my baby and I am always asking and she always spends like 30min to simply be taking measurements and she cant even give me any answers. My question is what should I do? I keep saying no but they guilt trip me by saying why don't you want to see your baby?

Ive had about 15 ultrasounds i will be 29 weeks tomorrow. After i hit 32 weeks ill get one done once a week. But im also highrisk and carrying twins. I love being able to see my babies but i do worry that its affecting them. But they assure me its not.

I can completely relate to what your going thru! I have to go in twice a week for bpp ultrasounds and every three weeks for growth ultrasounds and every time the tech is done measuring she will try to get a few pics and if baby isn't in a good position for a pic she will poke and shake my belly in attempt to get baby to move and the last few times I've told her its okay that I didn't need any more pics cause I've already got enough and I don't want her irritating my baby just to get a pic! But she still tries and its so aggravating! I don't know why they still insist even after you say you don't want it! I think it's totally rude!

You have a right to refuse any treatment. But what's their reasoning for measuring?

Wow.If you don't mind me asking Why are they doing so many? You were hospitalized for what?

I only got 3-4 throughout my entire pregnancy. And when I switched my dr I was charged for my ultrasounds twenty dollars. So I wish I had your dr.
