Umbilical cord wrapping?

Everyone keeps telling me it's bad to reach above my head because the umbilical cord can wrap the babys neck. Ths worries me alot because I do it often, its just comes natural, I sleep with my arms above my head. I also stretch alot, so is it any stretching of the uterus that can cause this?

Old wives tale. But a good percentage of babies have their cord around their neck. It's super common. The doc just checks for it when the babies head comes out and loosens it for the shoulders to pass through. If it doesn't loosen they slip it over the babies head. It's really no big deal

I had the cord around my neck and I am perfectly fine :) as long as your baby is moving around in there and what not, there is no reason to worry!

My first had the cord around his neck during delivery. All turned out well. I asked my doc as im abit paranoid with this pregnancy and she said same thing they get tangled then untangle themselves.

sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt. baby does a lot of moving but suprisingly they un wrap themselves most of the time. on scans if the doctor notices it then he/she will most likely turn the baby themselves. nothing to worry about

It's actually a myth...baby usually moves around and ends up doing it to themselves
