Old wives tale. But a good percentage of babies have their cord around their neck. It's super common. The doc just checks for it when the babies head comes out and loosens it for the shoulders to pass through. If it doesn't loosen they slip it over the babies head. It's really no big deal
I sleep with my hands above my head. Both my boys were fine..
I had the cord around my neck and I am perfectly fine :) as long as your baby is moving around in there and what not, there is no reason to worry!
U'll b suprised what babies do wiv there cords its the only thing in there they have to play with my 6yr old was born wiv a true knot in his and came out in his sack still and blue but hes fine im always worrying about this LO's cord..
My first had the cord around his neck during delivery. All turned out well. I asked my doc as im abit paranoid with this pregnancy and she said same thing they get tangled then untangle themselves.
sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt. baby does a lot of moving but suprisingly they un wrap themselves most of the time. on scans if the doctor notices it then he/she will most likely turn the baby themselves. nothing to worry about
Oh great, well that doesn't ease my mind at all. Lol
It's actually a myth...baby usually moves around and ends up doing it to themselves
