At my ultrasound today I was dated as 11 week 5 days. My unusually shaped gestational sac (looked like i have two sacs developing) is now attributed to a uterine adhesion. My doctor said the adhesion is large and the concern now is if the baby were to put an appendage (or itself) into the adhesion it could cause growth retardation and even fetal demise.
Does anyone have a history of uterine adhesions (scars)? Has anyone had a successful pregnancy despite the adhesion?
Yes they are measuring the pregnancy. They say everything else looks and appears to be normal and growing at a regular rate.
on having a closer look, would it maybe be the shape of your womb or something? thats bizzare, great story :) hope all is well
with an irregular shape sac, usually they prepare you for a miscarriage although baby has developed. is he/she measuring the size for pregnancy? i wish you the best of luck
I asked that. Actually when she first pulled it onto the screen I thought it was twins! But she said it was not. Then she compared it to my first ultrasound (which had one completely round sac with baby floating in it) and said that if this were twins (or supposed to be) we would have already seen signs of it.
I wonder if it is possible it was originally twins and you lost the one twin( bleeding and cramping) and the two sacs just kind of joined each other. Just try to relax your baby looks really healthy from the pictures. I hope all works out and your Dr is able to give you answers soon.
