Update about our visitor (OT)

I thought I'd update you guys on the kitty. I had a "DUH" moment yesterday when I remembered my oldest bro's wife was a veterinary tech./nurse. He's been married 3 times and I'm not close to him and so it just wasn't something I remembered about his third wife. So I wrote her a super long email with details and she gave me some tips. But in the end he still needs to have his leg re-set (for those who don't know, I found a stray cat about 1 AM on Monday with a broken leg).

He's doing great! We gave him a name while he's staying with us. We are calling him Beckett (after a Stargate Atlantis character--- big sweetheart--- or if you're more familiar with the actor, his name in real life is Paul McGillion). Still no decision on keeping him or not. Daniel and I made a pact that we wouldn't have animals for a year! And it lasted about three days before Beckett showed up...

Anyway, I see the husband coming around. I see him petting that cat and snuggling with him. He thinks I don't see, but I DO!

-In the picture you can see his right leg is sitting weird. And it's hard to see but his flank is hollow. But he's been eating little tiny bursts throughout the days and going in the litterbox!!! Ten points for Beckett!

Have you heard the general rule for animals once you name them theres no going back he now is a member of the family lol well its not really a rule but once you name an animal you have every intention of keeping it maybe not purposely just subconciously oh never mind lol im lost my self lol

Rosa, I know what you mean! I wash my hands like an obsessively but the cat is clean. I checked him for fleas/lice, bumps and lumps and he's actually very clean. That's why I think someone threw him out the window next door (apartments next door) or that he fell from a balcony.

Regardless of what happened to him I'm not finding the owners. He's malnourished and I would never hand an animal back over to whoever previously had him.

Rozy, too funny! I'll tell DH that one!!!

Ok if you get preggo this month after Beckett's mysterious arrival, I think you HAVE to keep the cat.  :-)

Oh I think he secretly likes this cat too! The reason being that every cat he's ever known has been a complete witch but this guy is the sweetest, calmest cat ever. Being in pain with a possibly broken leg is probably why he's so laid back, but hubby seems to like him nevertheless!

Okay, so forget having a baby... I treat this cat like he's a baby! I even carry him around like one. So... totally kidding on the baby front. We're still trying! This is my fertile week!!! Hopefully Beckett brought us a little babydust with him when he showed up on the doorstep. I hope, I hope!
