You shouldn't suggest to people to try to refuse medical care just because you are an advocate for something. I left my vbac support group for that because not everyones circumstances are the same. It could truly be risky for her and something bad could happen if she decided not to react appropriately which is why she should discuss with her doctor the risks because not every pregnancy is the same.
I am going to do a VBAC this year. This is the thing that annoys me is that most people don't know the true facts about it. yes there is a risk of uterine rupture but it is less than 1%. The maternal mortality rate is less than in a repeat C Section. I have done sooooooooooooo much research on this and have joined numerous support groups. They say that most people are good candidates and have a 60-80% success rate but a lot of doctors aren't trained in them or don't like doing them because they take extra care. Therefore 92% of people who are good candidates are scheduled for another c section. I wish people knew the real facts and could stop trying to scare us that want it. Please if you want to do a VBAC feel free to message me and I can give you more info and support group info. Remember if you decide you want a vbac... you have the right to not schedule or show up to the scheduled C Section. They legally cannot force you into another surgery. If you are in labor and go and refuse surgery you will have a lot of pressure from the docs and nurses but you can have a vbac.
And if the scarring is attached to your bladder it could be serious for you.
Its very risky, you have a chance of uterine rupture, hemorrhaging, blood loss, you could die or the both of you or just your baby. Or if you have scaring and its attached to your bladder that could be very serious for you...
It depends on the scar on your uterus. It can cause uterine rupture. I originally wanted a vbac and I'm eligible to do so but my doctor wants to get the baby out at 39 weeks when it's healthy to do so because I'm high risk. So if I go into labor at 38 weeks they'll let me do the vbac but come May 19th if there's no baby it's c section. Maybe next appt ask your doctor why it is risky.
