So I've seen people o here mention it before, but I'm watching the buisness of being born on Netflix. And I think everyone should be shown this at like 15 weeks along. Any ladies who have Netflix and havnt seen it should definitely invest the time.

I have seen the Business of Being Born.  Its a documentary fyi. And I have suggested watching it to anyone who posts questions about being induced or epidurals. Its very informative and might make u think twice about the birthing process in the united states. When I tell people I want a natural birth and they question me I tell them to watch this movie. I agree anyone should research both sides of any situation but wjst I do agree with in the movie is the way my choice seems not to matter in a dr setting or being confused about what's going on because dr.s don't take the tome to explain what they're doing. Sorry this is so long I just feel really passionate about natural birth. Good luck mommies

I'm not against anybody having the birth they want home birth or hospital but I think everyone should look at both sides of the issue.  The movie is definitely one sided.  Also take time to read things like the website hurt by home birth.  If you choose a home birth and midwife make sure you screen them thoroughly just as everyone should screen their Dr and hospital thoroughly if that is the route they choose.  There are bad doctors and bad midwives we have to be sure no matter who we choose as a provider we do lots of research and ask lots of questions.  I just recently found out not all certified midwives are the same there are two completely different certifications with very different requirements.  There is a lot about both sides of the industry we tend to not know about unless we dive deep and look at a lot of perspectives.
