You can start counting from your last menstrual cycle, or you can wait untill your Dr gives you a date. Every Dr. Is different on when they want to see you. I would go ahead and call now to make an appointment.
I didn't go to mine until I was 8 weeks, which I am glad I did because when I got an ultrasound I was able to see my baby and not just a sac. I was nervous about going to late but everything worked out fine.
My OB/GYN practice sees women when they are 8 to 9 weeks. I only have one ultrasound at 20 weeks but at the 8 to 9 week appointment, you can hear the heartbeat. I think the 8 to 9 week time frame is pretty common because otherwise it is just confirming you are pregnant which the home test does. :>) So, don't panic if you don't see one immediately. good luck
Oh, and definitely call and make an appointment now even if it is for the 8 weeks out. Get on their schedule. good advice. good luck
And congratulations!! :>)))))
I went as soon as I found out. My doctor take you right away. I was only 6 weeks tho. I would call and check if they can see you so you can start your prenatal care
I went to midwife first time at 12 weeks, first ultrasound 18 weeks :). But im not worried person about this so for me was normal and easy to wait for anything :D
Well to be honest I didn't go to the doctor when I found out I was pregnant i went when i was 11 weeks and I tried to book an appointment earlier than 11 weeks but my doctor was away on vacation. I started taking prenatal vitamins thou when I found out I was pregnant. And now I am almost 36 weeks and my baby is really healthy (: but you do what you feel is best for you.
