Whens it safe to start telling people?

Hi, I'm 11wks an 5days, obviously I have told close friends and family. But my childs father is desperate to put the 12wk scan picture on facebook next week. I'm not so sure, I'd rather wait. I'm only 18 and it's my first pregnancy, I'm so scared something will happen to my baby :/ when did you tell everyone? Is 12wks too early? Rach x

Thank you everyone. I think i'll wait until the new year. Then I'll be 14-15 weeks. Just have to try and convince my childs father to be patient!  Rach :) x

As soon as i had my first scan and i was 11weeks 3days i told everyone but u cud wait till the second trimester :)

Im 18 also, I let everyone know on social networks when I got my first ultra sound at 8 wks I just couldnt wait I was too excited! I am now 16wks.. But truelly its up to you when your ready Goodluck!

I'm also 18, I felt the same way as you. I announced it on social networks at 19w, when we found out the gender.. Only our parents new and a few close friends.

im a worry wort anything can happen at any time. I told everybody at 4months and I miscarried never ever will make that same mistake again. only our familys know and that's how we want to keep it.

I told family as soon as it was confirmed.

As soon as I took the positive test I started telling people but my husband and I were trying for about 7 years and were to excited not to tell.

Yes after ur second trimester ur less likely to miscarry

Most people wait until 13 weeks because that's the second trimester.
