Will the be in my babies system when I’m due on March 29th?

I am 35 weeks pregnant. I smoked marijuana the weekend before last when I was 33 weeks almost 34 weeks. It was only one small hit of a bowl, nothing major and I barely even got high. I did it because i was feeling awful and nothing helped. My OB is aware that I am a smoker. Today at my appointment she told me it is currently in my system but it’s very low. Will it be out of mine and babies system by the time I’m due? I’m very worried now cause I wasn’t expecting that one small hit to stay in my system so long. I don’t want any other random advise, I just want to know if it’ll be out of our system before I’m due or not. I’m scared.

Hello, thanks for your question.  We are really glad you talked to your doctor about this .  Communication is key and your doctor is now aware and sounds understanding.  Marijauna will stay in the system for varying amounts of time so there is more of a range than an exact nuber.  Up to 30 days by some sources and up to 90 by others.  But the up to 90 days is with hair sampling.  30 days is the more accurate reference number for blood, urine or saliva testing. https://www.healthline.com/health/how-long-does-weed-stay-in-your-system#detection-time-by-drug-test   Try not to worry.  It also can wash out sooner than that. If your doctor is aware, that is very helpful.  Let us know how it goes and congratulations on your pregnancy.
