Sorry more of a rant than a question. I thought I might just be getting over my  morning sickness. 2 weeks ago I was in the e.r. for dehydration and considered hyperemesis gravidarum. Even scripts and seabands havent helped. As of my last apt. Last week @12+5. I had lost 13lbs. Until I got over this I got cut to 2 days a week at work due to concern for my health. I'm a bartender so I tend to stay on my feet abd busy. Tho my dr hasn't my boss put me on a 10lb limit. I got excited because I had a good day that I kept almost everything down. Well now I'm sick. Seemingly the cold. And due to that I've barely been able to eat or drink again, mostly just lay down or sleep. I know I'm getting dehydrated again but if I drink too much I throw up. And I feel weak. But our money is already very tight. I hold up a front for my husband but Im just kinda freaking out.

I have insurance.  They cover about 80% of prenatal care including e.r. visits.  But with me going from 36hrs to 12 abd the loss of tips  we wont even be able to pay rent next month unless we can get my husband's car sold. Atleast the nurse was honest at my last visit she flat out said "at this point we don't care if you can eat. Its the hydration we care about until a few more weeks". As for my husband.  He's finally atleast realized that morning sickness is a real thing.  He just didn't get why I dont fight it off. (He rarely gets sick). I work Tuesday abd Thursday nights so ill see how tonight goes  And push comes I'll be going in this weekend.  If I can rid of the rest of this cold.

Most people really won't understand unless they've experienced this themselves. I had nurses telling me the reason I couldn't stop throwing up was because I needed to eat which was total bs and they had my husband believing that was the reason too, it was so aggravating, especially when you're throwing up literally every 3 minutes of pure stomach lining because you absolutely can't keep one thing down. Hospital visits are a pain though, just wait it out a few more days and if it gets worse then you'll have to just go in. At first that was my biggest concern too, the money because they do charge an arm and a leg but then I applied for Medicaid and so now my insurance covers pretty much everything. I would try doing that if you haven't already becsuse they will pay for the hospital visits

I cant keep down gatorade. In the past 48 hours ive eaten about a bowl and a half of just noodles with a little butter. Ive for the most part kept em down. Thats what im trying to stick with cause of the carbs being more filling. My husband doesnt seem to understand. He tells me to drink more water. Cause I need to stay hydrated I have to keep explaining that im trying! Its not that easy

Thank you Faith_sarai.
Bakershanea  I had zofran. It only helped the first couple days. Went I went to the hospital they changed me to promethazine. Both oral and suppository incase I threw up the oral one. But neither of those worked either. My dr told me those are pretty much my choices. and hopefully itll go away soon and I dont end back up in the hospital. basically im down to whatever I can handle. Since promethazine makes you sleepy. I try to take the zofran during the day and the other one at night. my dr gave me a list of ok meds to take for this and that so im using robitussin right now. When I admit is helping to an extent. I just feel like I might have to go back to the hospital and i really dont want to I still have bruises from 2 weeks ago. And we dont have the money to afford it

I say don't put up a front for your sake and the babies. Gatorade will replenish the loss of electrolytes waste will help orange juice (the real kind) will help. Chicken broth hot water with lemon and honey. Tylenol simus, Sudafed, and benadryl are safe for pregnant women. Hope you feel better

I had the same exact thing for almost 3 months straight. I was in and out of the hospital like I lived there, I lost about 30 lbs in all. I would go days without eating or even drinking. my advice to you is to ask your doc to prescribe you zofran. After I would leave the hospital I would take zofran 3 times a day and although I still had really bad nausea and couldn't really do much it helps with the constant throwing up and will help you get your nutrition and be hydrated, but you HAVE to take it on time, I missed my pill by a few hours a couples times and it like reset my whole sickness to where I'd have to go back to the hospital for ivs to get me well enough to hold the medicine down again
