an update on Cailyn
So she was put on the CPAP machine yesterday around 11 am.. it was horrible to see her that way.. I couldnt stop crying.. then I went and saw her this morning around 9 and she was not on any tubes or oxygen.. she was just laying in the crib looking out.. I couldnt believe it.. I asked the nurse what happened to all her things.. she said that they took them off and gave her some food (through a feeding tube) she has been doing great!! she's stable.. ugh!! so great! I was actually able to bottle feed her as well.. I've been pumping every 2-3 hours.. so my milk has totally come in.. she's been taking that with a breeze.. I guess all they have to do is watch her for 48 hours or so just to make sure she eats and gets rid of her wet lung.. :) I'm so happy.. she looks so much better!
Congrats hon, I didn't even know you went into labor. I'm sorry it was such a rough start but glad to hear she's doing much better.
so pleased she is recovering quickly... i am sure before you know it she will be with you home :-) remember so many babies are born with breathing difficulties and they usually recover in few days...
that is sooo awesome! she's def got to be doing better, esp if they let you feed her! oh, i'm sure you're so happy, and i'm sure she'll be coming home in the next day or 2!!!

I am SO happy that she has improved so much! Just a day or so now and she'll be coming home with you! :)
Congrats Momma!! She is very cute! I'm sooo happy she's doing well and getting stronger, she'll be home with you before ya know it!

Wow... what great news!! Happy to hear that they let you breastfeed her. That is such a bonding moment... I am sure that you were happy to hear that they were going to let you do that. Congrats again and before you know it, she will be home!

I am sitting her at the hospital actually.. just got back from putting her down to sleep.. they allowed me to breastfeed her.. thats how well she's doing.. oh I'm so happy.. Thank you for all your prayers and giving her the strength to pull through this!

i'm so happy that little miss cailyn is doing so much better! soon enough you will be packing her up in her little carseat and taking her to her new home. also glad to know that pumping is going well. what kind of pump do you have? i am getting a medella but have been afraid to buy it in case i was unable to breast feed...is pumping difficult? i should just go get the machine...i was thinking i would wait a few weeks after she is born but maybe i should just go and get it out of the way.

first off i wanted to say Congrats!!! you are now a mommy! YAY!!
i know the whole NICU experice isint that greatest...but things progress in the NICU rather quickly, ive been there hun, 111 long days, i should say to you dont worry its going to be a breeze since she was practically born full tem..compare to my son...but every parent has the right to worry..she will be home in no time!
