animals.

I love animals, but ever since i got pregnant, my dog and 2 cats(ESPECIALLY the cats) **** me off! They're all under a year old too. But anything and everything they do makes me mad. Like i hate it when the cats jump onto the coffee table or get near me. They always like to annoy my dog too sometimes too and that makes him bark. I honestly do spank my animals if they do something wrong. I won't let any animal into my baby's room. That room is extremely off limits for my baby. Only one of our cats really sheds. She has shorter hair so she sheds a lot. But i honestly feel like the cats purposely do what they do to make me mad..i'm very tempted to just let them "run away"... ugh! I'm not getting rid of them though.. :/ Has anyone else's love towards their own animals completely turn around??

I think you're hormones are what's making you get frustrated with the animals. I personally haven't been bothered by my animals (any more then normal that is) through my pregnancy but maybe give it time.

My dogs **** me off so much. They do stuff they know is wrong..like peeing/pooing in the house. Which they haven't done in YEARS. They get so much attention. they're obnoxious and honestly making me question if I'll ever get another dog again.

M_r_p that is exactly what my animals have been doing since I found out I was pregnant, my dogs haven't went in my house since they were puppies and nnow all of a sudden they randomly start pissing and ******** everywhere, I just told my boyfriend that after these dogs live their last day we will never get another dog ever!!I also have 2 cats but they have been good and dont bother me at all...but I know exactly how you feel Jackie cause I deff don't feel the same way about my dogs as I did before I was pregnant, which is a shame and I'm hoping after I'm not pregnant anymore my feeling will change...so u never know just try to give it some time.

I understand. When I got pregnant I had 3 dogs. 2 of them were puppies. I also had 2 cats, which were about a year old. I had to get rid of one of my dogs & it was the hardest decision I had to make but it was for the best. The puppies are pit bulls & the male was so big & strong I couldn't walk him, let alone having two other dogs. The female pit would **** & **** in the house because she wasn't getting enough attention & they were brother & sister, Niether spayed or neutered so i had to keep them seperated when she was in heat. the only one who was great was my 5 year old pointer but that's because I had him for so long. I found my male pit a new home & it was so hard because he was the sweetest most loving dog I've ever owned but I wasn't giving him the training and attention he deserves. He went to a good home & I still talk to the people he lives with. My female pit is so tiny & doesn't **** or **** in the house anymore & I'm able to give her & my pointer the attention they deserve. One of cats went out around thanksgiving & never came back so now I'm down to 2 dogs & 1 cat. The cat lays in the baby's bassinet & I found her in the baby's crib the other day so I have to re wash the bedding but Shes a cat, she doesn't realize its not for her. Cats think everything is for them. Yes they **** me off occasionally. That's what the backyard is for. & I try my hardest to take them out individually so I'm not stressed out & they both get their exercise so they're calm. I would suggest you really think about if you can handle the stress of having animals, they are very stressful, especially when they are babies. They make a mess, you have to spend money on them, pick up their poop, feed them & change their water, exercise them etc. Its a lot of work. If you can manage your stress & find ways yo deal with it then that's great because animals bring so much happiness and kids love pets, not to mention Pets are scientifically proven to be good for you and your child health. If you can't find ways to manage the pets then I would find them new homes. Imagine dealing with the stress you have now and a newborn baby!! I use to say I would never get rid of my Pets but since I've became pregnant I realizes its not fair to the animals if you can't deal with the stress. They didn't ask to be your pet, they're just being what they are.

Oh my goodness! My dog does that! It makes me so mad! I would have literally JUST let him out and he'd be out for a while but he saves a huge poop for inside the house. We have all carpet except for the bathroom and it makes me so mad! He was out for a long time going to the bathroom and he still was able to squeeze one more piece of sh** out?! Seriously!? He goes under my bed and does it too which makes me even more mad because i'm 38+3 weeks! My belly won't fit under the bed so i either suffer with the nasty smell so my husband can get it when he gets home or almost die trying to get under my bed with my belly.

You should get rid of them specially the cats o heard they hair it's bad for babies but you will be dealing like with 3 Xtra babies once your baby arrives pets required same attention as newborns you would not keep up the cleaning with everything. .. in my opinion do what's best for you n unborn baby

Believe me, i want to get rid of the cats. But i don't even mess with them. They're my husband's cats. He takes care of them i do not. They just like to annoy me. I honestly only take care of my dog, turtles, and our fish. But like i said, there's absolutely no animals allowed in my baby's room. None have ever gone in there and probably won't ever go in there. I'm keeping my baby away from the animals for quite a while. But i'm going to introduce him to the dog before the cats. We're also going to get the animals all neutered/ spayed. So hopefully that'll do something like calm them down a bit.

Well..if i lived somewhere where it's warm all year round, i'd probably have them outside. But It's like..16 degrees F here (warmest it's been all week) and usually the temperature can get down to -20some degrees F so leaving my animals out is very frowned upon and could kill them...
