Its not the same for everyone. My mother in law lost her mucus plug most of the time weeks before labor and with some her water never broke, a few were born in the bag...which is actually good and easier on baby

When I lost mine with my last pregnancy I got really sick and then started having contractions and just wasn't feeling normal. I had a drs appointment the same day I lost it just way later in the afternoon. When I got to the office and the Dr checked me she said I was in labor but not active labor and we were going to have the baby that night cuz I was getting a c section so no point in going into active labor. Good luck. Just watch your body signs and call your ob if you have questions

they could...some women lose their plug at our before 30 and a new one builds up. some women don't lose theirs until they've already had strong contractions. it is different with every pregnancy. but it is one step closer,.congratulations! just stay in tune with your body so you can recognize the next steps. how far along are you? if you are full term, I'd take it much more seriously than earlier as it can regenerate
