Well, it's not very healthy but I doubt it would harm you or the baby. But I'm sure it's loaded with preservatives and all that stuff so just depends on your preferences.
think its okay aslong as you heat up the meat a little i keep craving the pizza one and the ham one..lol
As long as your getting the other nutrients your body and baby needs its fine! As for the lunch meat thing I'm on baby number three and have always eaten pretty good I ate lunch meat with all 3 and my drs were all ok. The biggest thing with lunch meat is the source and following guidelines to make sure you aren't eating it when it could be going bad. I eat it at least 3 times a week without heati.g it up and my Dr said as long as I trust the source its fine.
I ate them the entire time I was pregnant!! I loved them so much. But it was only the pizza ones I would eat. My doctor said it was fine just as long as you don't leave the pepperoni out and they get warm or anything. I would eat like 4-5 pizza lunchables a day and it never affected me, but like the other posters said, cold deli meat can be very very dangerous, so I don't recommend eating that many in one day. You can eat them, just try to limit yourself to one package a day or so (cravings can be terrible at times). And if you feel sick or anything after eating them, do not eat anymore.
thanks for replying!
my obgyn told me that cold deli meat thing was nothing to worry about, looks like i have somethings to google now lol
Yeah you're supposed to heat up all deli meat until it's steaming prior to eating. If you microwave the pepperoni for 30 seconds or so, you should be okay. Listeria is bad, mom doesn't necessarily notice the effects a lot, but it's very bad for the baby, can even result in stillbirth. :(
I think the main concern is the cold deli meat... its not reccomended just because of the risk of listeria.... for me i fry my sandwich meat prior to eating as heating would take care of the risk (160 degrees F)
