babies habits

My son is a month & he LOVES his pacifier, he keeps it in his mouth, when he's awake and even when we bathe him. the only time he doesn't have it in his mouth is when he's drinking a bottle and getting burped. If I take it he just whines and moans for it. I really don't want him to get use to it and still be sucking on it when he's like 1 or 2. What could I do right now to kinda break him off of it and not want it in his mouth almost 24/7.?

Honestly, having a pacifier until 1 or 2 is not so bad. Sucking soothes babies, and it is really good for them. Some recent research even shows that a pacifier reduces the risk of SIDS.

If your son is only a month old, leave him the pacifier.  It isn't hurting anything at this point.  Don't start planning to take it from him because of what might happen in 11 months or 23 months.  He's just a tiny baby, still in his "fourth trimester" as they call it.  Let him have the paci.

When he's able to eat snacks, try winging him off with cheese puffs or something of that nature. He could still suck on them, but I'm sure when he starts growing teeth he'd wanna chew more than anything.
