baby AND a puppy???

Puppy&baby

My daughter is 6months, 7months on the 26.
Were getting a puppy on the 24th..
My boyfriend had 4 or 5 different dogs growing up as a child and he still has one now (a pitbull/chihuahua mix (dont know how that worked)) shes little tho and 4yrs old and already trained and all that and behaves around the baby well.
Me growing up i only had one dog that was already full grown and trained when we got him and i only had him for a short prd of time bc my sister was allergic.
So i dont really know what to expect with a PUPPY ...Ive heard it takes alot tho. But my boyfriend wants our daughter to have her own dog to "grow up with" and i also think he just really wants it himself and im not gunna lie i think the puppys adorable myself lol .
MY QUESTION IS who has a PUPPY AND a BABY and how is it?? Is it hard? Any advice or tips??? How is it taking care of the baby and the puppy and how is the puppy with the baby???

I just got a 6 week old pit/ st bernard mix and my baby is due in May...I think its all in how you introduce them. Let the puppy smell and lick the baby a time or two and just moniter it closly but hands off. The puppy and baby both will be curious, once the puppy gets it out of its system then it will be Fine, just keep an eye on baby and make sure its not pulling on years or grabbing too hard and you should be Fine!

if i were yu id do it yurself... its harder but better... cuz alot of dogs will get use to listening to the actual trainer instead of the owners nd yes very expensive!

& the puppy is a girl. I want her to be well trained but I heard professional training is expensive and depending on the dog might not be necessary ..so I wanna learn ways to train the puppy myself

i have 6 dogs! 3 outside nd 3 mostly inside... the 3 inside are small... my daughter wnt be here till march but they have been around smaller kids... one of the dogs juss gets jealous nd hides, nd the 2 girls get super excited nd juss wanna lick em like crazy! i think if yu teach the dog well theyll be fine... nd the 2 girl dogs i have were never around kids before we got them nd to see how well they act is good!

I have a lab/pit mix & a baby due in 26 days. Max (the puppy) is about a yr & great with my 4 yr old. im hoping all will be good. I  really think it depends on the dog. I will never ever have a little dog again. My daughter has been bit by 2 different lil dogs.

Little dogs are faster to train. Big dogs tend to be really doofy for the first few years. I have to settle my golden down when babies are over cause she wants to slobber them, but once you calm them they just tend to stick right by the baby and guard it. My pomchi is good with babies and she just turned 1. As long as your up for potty training and diciplining a puppy with a newborn it wont be hard and the puppy pads are useless and just prolong potty training. Its best to just take them outside and get dissapointed if they bathroom on the floor :) other than that ive had no problems with babies and puppies.
