baby room questions

So ladies I will be setting up my room soon and the babies crib will be in my room.....I have a gigantic room lol so there will be more than enough room for the two of us but I'm wondering how should I go about decorating?? Will it still be ok if I put little wall decorations on her side or does that sound tacky??? Me and my mom live together in a two bedroom apartment....so that I can go back to school and have someone to watch her........anybody else have their room set up like this?? How did you decorate you and baby part? Did you have matching sets?? Or just similar colors..... Help me ha ha

When we first had the babies crib and stuff in our room we decorated his side with his theme. ( Winnie the pooh) and we didn't do our whole room Winnie the pooh lol! We hung picture and all that on his little area and a rug. Its not tacky in my oppion!
