What is the best birth control to consider I told my doctor the depo shot but I'm reconsidering it. I was told some people can still get pregnant from the shot and I most definitely don't want to Get pregnant no time soon after the baby born

I forget the name of the site but it helps you decide which birth control is right for you. And after you can do research on it yourself.  With all methods there is a risk for pregnancy besides absence.

I was on depo before being preggo for almost 2 yrs i loved it never gained weight had sex like rabbits unprotected with my boyfriend no period after a couple of months n took 7mo afterwards to get preggo im def gettn it once i go 4 my postpartum checkup its different for everybody most pple i kno hated it n gained alot of weight but worked great for me u can ask ur doc about ur options id call before your postpartum app n ask what they recommend so u can research before you go hth:)

The pill worked great for me. I was on it for 7 years. ..no problem.   Stabilized my moods, gave me clear skin and helped with cramps. You just have to remember to take it the same time everyday

Oh and I hated the shot too. Gained fifty pounds in the six months I was on it. Definitely not with it to me to try again. My sister in law went on it after her second baby and bled for two months straight ended up on iron supplements because it made her anemic. Do your research before you decide.

I was on depo and didn't get pregnant until I stop using it I won't lie I gained weight but with my work out it all went to the right places and I was on it for eight years and didn't use any protection with my fiancee so it's different with everyone because some people do get pregnant while using it other ones

If you're planning on breastfeeding your choices are pretty limited: just the depo shot, the 'mini' (progestin only) pill, or a non hormonal iud. Estrogen is not considered safe while breastfeeding just fyi.

Personally I hated depo shot.  Gained a lot of weight from it€(took 18 months to loose), always felt groggy. I personally like the nuvaring (I leave it in for 4 weeks and replace with new ring as soon as I remove the old) I dont have any bad side effects with the ring:)

U could get pregnant using any type of birth control except abstinence! Lol none of them are 100%, there's always a chance,  a slim one though.  It really all depends on what u want out of the birth control. I suggest u read up on all the different types,  & talk your choice over with your doctor to find one best for you.
