birth story

Just wanting to let you girls know that i had my son and he was a week late just want to tell my birth story.
So i was induced with a ballon catheter on the 5th may to help open my cervix i wasnt even dialted at all so by the next day in the morning on the 6th may when they took my ballon catheter out i was 3cm dialted! I was then taken to the birthing suite to have my waters broken to start my labour at 8am i started labour at 8:30am with small contractions by 11am i asked for the gas/air to help me breath (all i can say was that was amazing and helped me with my breathing so much) by 1pm i got the epidural and it did help alot. From there i was still having contractions and by 4pm i had only dialted to 5cm and baby was upside down but in the pelvis ready to come so they said to me  it wasnt looking good and that i was going to be taken in for a c section, i was so scared because it was the first time i had to go into theatre and have a major operation done but i was so open minded when i started labour because i had a feeling i was going to have a c section by 6pm i was in theatre and 6:30 luca sebastian tripoli was born :) i did have a complication through the surgery where my uterus split and the had to stich it up then stich up my stomach so i was in theatre for alot longer then i would of been. Sorry for long post but just for you girls that are scared to give birth you will all be fine and it isnt as bad as what people say it is as long as you are opened minded and are ready for anything and just remember to breath and you will be fine :) being a mum is such an amazing thing and the love you have for your child when you see them for the first time will change you forever you really dont know the meaning of love until you lay eyes on your own child :) goodluck girls xx

Wow thank you for sharing! I'm going in on Sat. 6/6 to be induced and I'm so scared! I'll be 40+2 weeks. Is the induction pain really bad? And hows your recovery from the surgery going so far?
