Any good book to read for a first time mom? I'm trying to find something to do while I'm off work.

Fifty Shades of Grey :p

What to Expect When Expecting is actually really good.. during my first pregnancy, I'd always resort back to that book when I had any questions or concerns.. but my all time favorite was Chicken Soup for the Expectant Mother's Soul, soooooo good!

I don't know the authors to any of these off the top of my head but here we go:
skinny b*tch, bun in the oven (great for natural diet tips for pregnant women)
your pregnancy week by week (which I actually found more helpful than what to expect)
what to expect when your wife is expanding (for your partner mostly, but I died laughing)
your best birth (I think by rikki lake and somebody else)
hinge birth in the hospital (if you're even considering going natural)

"Great Expectations" is what I read for my son's pregnancy 4 years ago. Had to order it online bc its hard to find. Way better then what to expect when your expecting. It was my lifeline!

What to eat when you're expecting helps a lot too. especially if you crave a lot of unhealthy foods. She gives tips that help fulfil those cravings in a healthier for baby way. It's also not boring. It also comes with lots of yummy recipes for cakes and smoothies. :)

Up the duff by Kaz Cooke is a great lighthearted read,  doesnt scare you with the 'what ifs' like many other books do. And you get a bit of a giggle out of it. Its one to go through week by week. I love it
