breast feed vent

So I have nothing against breastfeeding its every mothers opinion. I choose not to do it. I just hate how people judge me bc I choose to bottle feed. Ugh!

Honestly the bond is great but it hurt so bad in the beginning, its easier to pop ur boob in at night but when your exhausted you feel like u might fall asleep sitting up and suffocate baby well least at times i did. When he was like 2 months i felt like my boob was his binky he wanted to b on it at all times or he was screaming. When your in public or around friends who are not use to it they stare and it can bcome uncomfortable. I am ready to take baby completely off but its harder for me now he is formula fed thru the day n breasted at night he is 4 months n i think i did good and tried all i could and could careless any more what any1 says its not for everyone. My first wasn't breasted at all n he is the smartest 3year old who barely ever gets sick all thanks to similac the 1st 12mnth of life lol so don't feel bad for not wanting it we all have our reasons its our decision

Thanks for all the support ladies! I just feel its everyone personal opinion on what they choose as long and baby is healthy and roop I totally feel for you bc I feel like society has frowned upon breastfeeding in public places so I can only imagine how hard it is for the ladies who do breastfeed.

I've been talked down to for formula feeding my oldest after I got very sick and dehydrated and my milk dried up. I was devastated that I couldn't feed her. My son is two months old and exclusively breastfed and people look at me like I'm crazy or tell me to just go get him some similac. No thanks, I'd rather breastfeed. :)

But if never look down on someone who formula feeds bc not everyone can or wants to breastfeed. As long as baby is healthy, happy and cared for, I don't think it matters.

I agree with Roop. You will be judged either way. Make your choice and don't be ashamed of it.

I know that feeling! Even my midwife looks at me like I'm crazy because I want to formula feed. Thank god the pediatrician doesn't!

That's so funny! As a breast feeding mom I always feel judged for breast feeding instead of bottle feeding. Like people think its gross or vulgar. Guess no one thought that it works both ways huh? Doesn't matter what you do people are going to have an opinion for you.

I do believe breast feeding gives your bubba the best start but im certainly not going to tell you what to do. When people have an opinion like that its about them not you. You do what feels right for you hun. As long as your happy and your baby is growing and happy thats all that matters. Good luck!

I completely understand where you are coming from I got the same talk with my first as I do with this one and I just feel like I don't owe anybody an explanation about the choice I make.

I'm sorry people judge you. I am sure you have your reasonings on why you want to bottle feed. Have you explained them to these people?
