Well he doesn't latch on at all since I have "flat" nipples it is very hard for him to latch. That is why my lactation consultant suggested pumping... I feel like my boobs are empty cuz it's so little that comes out. But I have an appointment back at the hospital tomorrow, so since I'll already be there I guess I can go speak to another lactation consultant to see if there might be a way to help produce more or to see if I'm no longer producing.
Thank you ladies for your help :)
No joke! I had my baby girl on the July 4th and I've been breastfeeding but it's so hard and no one can help when it comes to feeding unless you pump but pumping is hard too. I feel like a bad mommy to my baby girl.
The baby sucking you breast nipple actually stimulates way more than anything it's very hard but just stij with it ... What I did with my newborn was I tried to breastfeed her during the whole day because she couldn't lath on either and would cry a lot I tried during the whole day and I did give her some milk bottles after she tried Lot and I would just give her bottled milk during the night to sleep better .. It took me like 1 week for her to learn to lach on .. But the nurse told me that breast pumps don't stimulate milk as a baby does and they practice The sucking ...
Try fenugreek its a herbal all natural pill that also helps produce milk I took 3 pills a day and it doubled my milk only side effect is it smells like maple syrup (not a bad side effect if u ask me) keep at it tho milk is like on demand the more u do it the more u produce
It more better if you put baby mouth to the breast it starts the blood to surround the breast to make it easer to get milk out
Even though breastfeeding is hard, try to stick with it instead of pumping :) A pump is never as efficient at emptying your breasts as a nursing baby. Hang in there!
Keep breastfeed n drink alot fliuds n soup help too
People have told me the first two weeks can be very hard! Just stick with it if you can! The more you pump, the more your body should start to produce. You may have to supplement for a short time until you can pump normally. Try not to get discouraged, many women struggle at first! Good luck hun
I would go to the lactation consultant at your hospital they can help with producing more milk and may be able to give you advice to get your baby to latch on as well
They say to eat healthy and a certian amount of carlories to enhance milk maybe ask your doc
