I had my daughter via emergency csection Due to her heartbeat dipping.

After i got the epidural, they poked me with a pin down my arm, the lower they went the less pain i could feel.. It was a bit like when you wake up with dead arm, you can feel it but you cant lol its very strange! At some point they fit a catheter but i wasnt even aware of it as i couldnt see anythin with a screen above my chest.

During the surgery, all you can feel is pushing and pulling, and what feels like a hoover around your guts. Baby was out and in my moms arms up by my head the whole time until i got wheeled back to my room with baby in an incubator next to my bed.

They got me up and movin around 2 days later, which again was very strange,  like having 2 dead legs lol. When you can move around they remove the catheter which is done in a second with a breif pinching feel to it,  and get you showered - brace your yourself as they made me remove my own padding from my cut, its daunting but dont panic yourself. I just tried not to look down.

As long your tanked up on painkillers you shouldnt feel anything.. But if you start to feel them wear off between doses it does feel extremely sore And uncomfortable.. Its bearable if you just relax and take your next dose as soon as theyre due.

I went home on the third day, its a massive help if youve got help at home but the best thing to do is take it easy, rest as much as you can, your out of hospital but not fully recovered! In a few more days you should be fine, if like me you get disolvable stitches, you wont need to do anythin with them, they just disappear. It takes months to fully recover so remember to go easy until you feel otherwise!

Im opting for an elective csection this time, dont be nervous, just try not to think about it to much and take it as it comes! Good luck :)

I was in the or room for about 40 minutes getting glued and was in my room maybe 10-15 minutes before he was brought in. To be honest it went by so fast it didn't seem that long.

I had a c section with my daughter the pain is ok once you get numbed you still feel the pressure though when they take the baby out after they did that the nurses were cleaning her and called her father over to them to hold her take pics and stuff while they worked on me then like 5 10 minutes later gave her to me kicked the father out told him to meet me in recovery room and me and baby met him there they give you an option if you want them to take your baby while you wait in recovery for two hours before heading to your room i was with my baby the whole time cause i have trust issues with people stealing babie from hospitals lol too much lifetime as my hubby would say but the after pain was what it was suppose to be lol you wont feel great after getting cut but you learn to adjust once your allowed to learn to start walking again you will get around ok they say wear loose pants and try not to bend your back when walking stand up straight i had a problem with that cause it hurt but i adjusted and so will you good luck hun

I had an emergency one with my first daughter. With in three hours I was walking around and I never took more then Tylenol for the pain. However, I could not shower myself partly because of not being able to bend partly because I blew up 30 extra points over night. I will tell you to stay on top of pain management though. Everyone's experience is different. I handled money great but I know others that needed really good pain meds and that's OK too! The part that ***** is lifting your legs up into bed or any twisting motion. Just remember momma you got this and the pain will not be forever.

Im had to have an emergency C-section on Sunday. I didn't feel any pain at all during the actual surgery. Just a lot of pressure when they were actually pulling the baby out. Like someone was sitting on my chest. But that only lasted a few seconds. I was in the recovery room for an hour and was in quite a bit of pain when the spinal block started wearing off, but they let me keep my epidural in for the rest of the day (my surgery was at 4:15 am) and overnight. The drug they ran through it wasn't at numbing drug though like an epidural, it was just a pain med and I still had the button to push when I started hurting. Monday morning they took out my epidural and catheter and that day was pretty rough. Getting out of bed wasn't easy at all. It got better though. I got to come home Tuesday morning. I've had good and bad moments. Sometimes I'm in quite a bit of of pain but they gave me Lortab and that helps tremendously. It's just very very important to let your body rest and recover.

I had my 3rd a week ago and the pain was hard the first day but after I got up the next day it was better. I was glued this time and I can tell a big difference.  I went back to my room after I got done and recover with my baby.
