pre eclampsia?

I'm 37 weeks today and my face and feet have really swelled up in the last 24hrs. I didn't think much of it until my mum commented saying this is the biggest she has seen me (swollen) and my stomach dropped alot.& I have a really sharp pain on my upper chest on the right side. I don't know if I should call my hospital or wait until the morning and see how I feel. Is this normal for how far along I am or should I ring up and see what they say?

I would give them a call. This is my secind pregnancy with preeclamplsia and the sudden swelling of face and hands was my first symptom. It will be very reassuring to get it ruled out if nothing else. Take care!

I think you should call your ob.  My ob told me if my face ever swollen up to call her then go straight to the hospital!

My midwife sent me straight to hospital for similar symptoms, I already suffer with high blood pressure. I'm 30 weeks FTM, so don't know if it's normal but I would call just yo be sure. Best of luck and I hope all is well

It never hurts to call!!! I say call the hospital or ur dr tonight and see what they say.
