Have i miscarried?

Hi,
I had a transvaginal scan yesterday and could see a sac. No heartbeat was detected. the sonographer said it may just be too young to show up, but would something else not be visible? Ive had no cramp or bleeding, and my periods stopped in march, although i never had a positive result until july 20th (last negative was june 16). the test i did also indicated i was 3+ weeks. Im worried ive miscarried. Has anyone any ideas?

Hi, thanks for the replies,
I have another US on the 19th, which im dreading!
The HPT i used was the one which indicates when i concieved - clearblue digital.
Ive just heard so many people say theyve had scans and are like 5 w and 5 days etc, and im worried as the sonographer didnt say any dates to me.....Hope im just being paranoid...

HPT's can not indicate how far along into a pregnancy you are.

I dont think there is any cause for concern right now because you dont know when you actually conceived.  Another ultrasound will be need to see what is going on.  Has your doctor scheduled another US?

everything's fine! don't expect to see anything in the sac till 7-8 weeks pregnant. congrats, by the way.
