Castor Oil? Works? Doesn't work? I heard that it does, but you can have "the runs" during labor.. and that may result in the dr doing a C section instead?

I tried it at 40+3 went in to labor about 7 hours later it made me really dehydrated tho

nope it didn't work with my first, tried it 3 different times. Still ended up 10 days overdue

Castor oil is not good for u or baby u csn get very sick hun.

Doctors usually don't recommend it, although sometimes midwives do...I would do a lot of research before yu decide wether or not yu want to do it...it can cause more harm than good, and it may not even work while yer left with the runs and vomiting. My perception is it only works on people who are already in early labor

My friend years ago did and it worked within an hour, I was at the hospital and she had a fast labor too.  she never said anything about the bad stuff that I've heard on here. I've also heard that Drs wouldn't recommend it, but haven't asked my midwife. I'm ready too!
